*A note on Yin: postures are mainly seated and lying down, they are held for a longer time (from 90 seconds to 6 minutes) and props such as blankets, mats and bricks and blocks are used. Designed to release the fascia (connective tissue under the skin). Little movements and a lot of time to release and let go.

**A note on restorative: Like a hot drink by the fire on a rainy day, this is pure luxury. Mostly reclined postures held with props and for a long time. Less intense than Yin can be and designed to relax the muscles and the mind.

Workshops And Others

September 2019

On Sunday 15th September 2019, join me at the Upton Village hall, NR13 6AU for a day of yoga. In the morning we will get “technical” and explore some classic postures and transitions to and from. As we deepen our understanding of those postures and how our body works, we can align techniques and body awareness to create comfortable postures. There will be time afterwards to practise a slow flow adapted to you, using what we studied in the morning. You will also be handed/emailed a practical guide to take home with you. Lunch will be shared, bring a dish that everyone can try. Upton village halls backs on a lovely green area so if the weather if good we may even lunch outside. In the afternoon we relax with a restorative class followed with yoga nidra (yoga of sleep)

£40 including practical guide. Bookable in advance. Teas and coffees provided, plenty parking space available

Please use the contact me link to enquire of book the classes/workshops etc.
